SETTLED DOWN

Getting Married-1891

During  his study under the scholar called Haji Jamaluddin at Perupok, Bachok, Musa had met a local woman and fell in love with her. After completing his study, he got married and settled down in Bachok.

Musa then moved on to a new place called Pantai Melawi, which is also located in the province of Bachok. The place was facing the South China Sea with beautiful sandy beach. He bought a piece land facing the sea and constructed a new wooden house.

At that time, most of the Malay houses were made from wood with the poles or pillars were set upright. The floor of the house was normally about 4 to 5 feet high. You may sit or squat under the floor of the house. There were also a double storey wooden houses, but the cost for such houses were much more expensive.

Musa bought a fishing boat and worked as a fisherman for his survival and to support his new family.

Even though he still have his saving, he had been working hard too as a fisherman. Sooner then, he had been a father of 2 boys.

He had no time to relax or visiting his friends or teachers and the famous scholars where he learned a lot before. As a married man, his new life was devoted to his family.

And Musa worked harder and harder as a fisherman to support his family. His saving was also slowly accumulated again!

He was happy and have had a happy life with his family...
